A Sprinkler Afternoon

It was a hot Wednesday. HOT! So, I turned on the hose, attached a sprinkler and let them play. Clothes on 'n' all! I don't think they could've possibly been much happier. It was so fun to watch. Emily and I sat on the shaded porch and enjoyed their laughs and squeals. Will ran over to me once while they were playing, naturally soaked to the bone and with a grin ear to ear. I asked him if he was having fun. He said, "Oh! You shoulda been there!". :) Love those kids.

Jessa is 3!

My Jessa is THREE! She is such a fun little pumpkin! She loves pink, sharing, and is ALWAYS hungry. She had a lovely birthday and thanked me AGAIN today, four days later, for "making" her "birt-day". (She also thanked me for making her food after she finished eating her dinner tonight. She is very generous with her thank-you's. Adding to the list of things she said today that made me smile/laugh: 1). She was playing with Emily on the floor in the living room and looked up at me out of the blue and said, "I'n dunna marry Emolee." I did my best to explain why that wasn't going to happen. She explained, "but, I lite her". 2). Okay, I hesitate for a moment to share this, 'cuz it's not exactly rated 'G', but I'm going do it anyway. Stop reading if you offend easily. I still have to help her wipe after #2's. Makes everyone's life easier. Today she announced that she was done and needed me to come help her. When I walked in she turned around to look at what she'd done and squealed, "Ohhh!" I took a look to see what was so surprising. It was a long, skinny poop. She said, "It a tate!" I was clueless as to what a 'tate' was until she continued, "I taught it wud a ball, but it a tate!" She had pooped a snake! (Yeah, I was pretty much rolling with laughter!!)
Well, as long as this is as Jessa entry, a week ago my mother's birthday card arrived in the mail for Jess. I showed her and read the envelope to her. "It says, 'To Jessa' 'From Grandma and Grandpa Pehrson'." "Dat wat nite!" (Sorry if the Jessa language is confusing. I wanna remember it just the way she said it and since I speak fluent Jessanese, . . . Anyway, that translates to, "That was nice!") She hadn't even opened it yet, but was appreciative of the gesture. That impressed me. Such a girl. Speaking of girls, it's almost midnight and Emmy has awakened. Hooray! Gotta go soothe the fussy baby.
